About Myself
I earned my undergraduate degree at Saint Mary's College and then earned a teaching credential through Chapman University. After three years of successful teaching, I felt my skill set would be better utilized as a therapist, so I went on to get a graduate degree at the well regarded Counseling Psychology Program at Santa Clara University.
I earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University and later earned my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I thoroughly enjoy the practice of being a therapist - helping people tap unsuspected inner resources in themselves that were likely always there, but needed some help to bring to fruition. I offer individual, group, and family therapy, as well as comprehensive intervention services. To read more about my approach, please click on the links on this page for therapy and interventions. I look forward to helping you discover a healthier and happier life.
Experience
My education at Santa Clara University involved learning a variety of approaches to working as a therapist from many experts in their particular fields. Since graduate school, I have worked full time at Kaiser Permanente in the Chemical Dependency Recovery Program. While I have extensive experience working with men and women both, in my practice I specialize in working with men's issues. My work at Kaiser has afforded me the opportunity to work with several hundred men on a variety of issues that men face; from addictions of all kinds, to anxiety and stress, depression, anger, fear, as well as relationship difficulties and loss.
I provide individual and group therapy for men, or if requested, I'm happy to work with men alongside the important relationships in their life. I've worked with men of all ages, from 18 to 80. Click on the link for therapy on this page for more information.
