About Myself
I earned my undergraduate degree at Saint Mary's College and then earned a teaching credential through Chapman University. After three years of successful teaching, I felt my skill set would be better utilized as a therapist, so I went on to get a graduate degree at the well regarded Counseling Psychology Program at Santa Clara University.
I earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University and later earned my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I thoroughly enjoy the practice of being a therapist - helping people tap unsuspected inner resources in themselves that were likely always there, but needed some help to bring to fruition. I offer individual, group, and family therapy, as well as comprehensive intervention services. To read more about my approach, please click on the links on this page for therapy and interventions. I look forward to helping you discover a healthier and happier life.
Experience
My education at Santa Clara University involved learning a variety of approaches to working as a therapist from many experts in their particular fields. Since graduate school, I have worked full time at Kaiser Permanente in the Chemical Dependency Recovery Program. While I have extensive experience working with men and women both, in my practice I specialize in working with men's issues. My work as a therapist in private practice, as well as at Kaiser, has afforded me the opportunity to process with and support a large number of men through a variety of issues that men face; from addictions of all kinds, to codependency, to anxiety and stress, PTSD, depression, anger, fear, as well as relationship difficulties and chronic illness.
